Big Creator Foundation is a non-profit organization created as an extension of Big Creator Visions.
BCF is strongly dedicated to serving disenfranchised youth; namely, foster, fatherless, and orphaned youth through entertainment, art, and media. With a mission to stand in the gap for children who lack secure parental figures, Big Creator Foundation focuses on personal giving and mentorship initiatives to care for this disadvantaged social group.
The Story of America's neglected children:
Imagine an adorable child with big, bubbly eyes, a teddy bear nose, rosy cheeks, a big smile, and even bigger hopes and dreams. Imagine a precious child who wants nothing more than love and stability in their life. Imagine a child who never chose to be abandoned, abused, or left in the cold, negligent world of the foster care system. Now, imagine 29,999 more of those children. In Los Angeles County alone, there are approximately 30,000 foster children. That number accounts for nearly one-third of all foster youth in the United States. Why is it so important to tackle this particular issue? Ultimately, creating programs to properly care for, educate, and raise foster youth will tackle a myriad of society's problems. Imagine that adorable child from earlier, once again. Let's look at the life outcome that they will presumably have, as a result of being a foster child. Most likely, that child won't finish high school, will possibly end up as a gang member or victim of human sex trafficking, and eventually will wind up in prison. This is a grim reality supported by data. Statistics show that less than 50% of all foster youth in California graduate high school, and less than 3% of children who have aged out of foster care earn a college degree at any point in their life, despite 70% of foster youth voicing a wish to attend college. This startling statistic demonstrates the dire need for educational stability in the lives of foster children from an early age. A lack of proper, steady education leads to detrimental life outcomes. In fact, half of youth who have aged out of foster care end up homeless or incarcerated. Young males in California who were members of the foster system are a whopping 82% more likely than average children to become homeless; The negligence of the foster system poses threats to boys and girls alike. California, in recent years, has become a region plagued with human trafficking, and unfortunately, the typical target for human traffickers is foster children. The average age of a young trafficking victim in California is 12 to 14 years old, and 70% of those victims are members of the foster care system. With no sense of true kinship, community, and support, foster children are left as vulnerable subjects to all vices of life.
Big Creator Foundation comes along foster parents, providing material needs and fulfilling special requests such as personalized birthday gifts, and special items that foster children and foster parents ordinarily could not afford. Many foster children don't get a chance to feel special and celebrate special holidays in the way that children who grow up with biological parents do. We also found that many times, foster parents sacrifice many of their wants and needs to provide for their foster children. Being able to bless these families with such opportunities and provisions is an imperative calling of this foundation. It has been our pleasure to do so and from seeing many of the hearts light up and their gratitude and thank you letters creates the desire to be able to be there for more families in this way. We know we cannot do it alone. This mission must continue as God says.
